Shot across the fence at the yard behind me. I've been sitting here looking at this scene for literally years and never shot it. Now I have. So, yay.

day 6 - 09/16/10 - the caged bird

I don't know if it's a male or female. Everyone forgot its name. All it can do it sit here, just like this...and chirp and drive everyone insane.

day 5 - 09/15/10 - abstract

Some days, our brains scramble things we thought we understood so that they stop making sense for a moment. Like a simple table and chair.

Day 4 - 09/14/10 - day full of win (video)

I helped Whitman learn to ride his bike for the first time today. It was totally amazing...when his feet first left the ground, when I opened my hands and let him go...and he went. Several trips later, when I felt comfortable that he had it on his own, I stood back to get this video.

Then, I went back into the air conditioned house, and then later, the man I love, his father, became mine again. One of the best days I've had in a long time. <3

day 2 - 09/12/10 - rust with me

These two shovels have been leaning against this tree in my Mom's front yard for years now. I have no clue what project they saw last, or when that may have been. But they've been waiting there dutifully ever since, rusting beautifully.
